UK Grid’s latest addition to its 'carrier-neutral' data centre's brings 2 floors of high end data centre space with fully redundant power and cooling.
Synergy House is serviced by a fully diverse fibre ring providing a high availability, fully secure facility that welcomes colocation customers from all sectors.

- Synergy House has its own HV supply and substation enabling the facility to sustain high powered racks required by todays powerful servers.
- N+1 Scania Generators can take the full load of the building should a mains power failure occur.
- Chloride energy efficient UPS systems provide N+1 uninterruptible power to our racks with a 10 minute autonomy providing power protection from spikes and mains failures.
- N+1 Airedale HVAC system provides redundant under floor cooling at a constant ambient temperature of 22degreesC and 50% humidity.
- FM-200 fire suppression reaches extinguishing levels in 10 seconds or less, incorporated with a VESDA smoke detection system, provides the most efficient non-water based data centre fire detection/suppression system availble on the market today.
- Door Entry System - Secure door entry access control system.
- CCTV – Closed Circuit Television is prevalent throughout the Data Centre.
- Split over 2 floors offering 7000sq ft of floor space, the Data Centre has a 500mm raised floor which is used to supply conditioned air via grilles in the floor tiles. The supporting weight of the floor is 12kN/sqm.
- Synergy House is located on Manchester Science Park which boasts the best available Internet connectivity in Manchester. A carrier neutral facility, Synergy is connected via a dark fibre ring into Telecity Williams, Telecity Kilburn and IFL. Having dual entry points into the building gives our customers a great choice of connectivity from Dark Fibre to carrier neutral tier1 and tier2 bandwidth.
- Synergy is manned 24 x 7 x 365 by our fully trained support staff. We offer a full remote hands service including cabling, troubleshooting, installation and consultancy.
- The colocation racks inside the facility are available as full, or ¼ colocation cabinets.
The full rack dimensions are 600 x 1000 x 48RU with front and rear access, each rack has an individual lock.
The ¼ colocation rack dimension are 600 x 1000 x 48RU with 4 x 11RU individual lockable compartments.
Synergy house offers colocation from 1/4 cabinets up to full individual and private colocation suites.
