Every single rack is fed from at least one individually monitored power supply fed from our resilient electrical infrastructure and enjoys complete protection against factors that could otherwise cause downtime to your server hardware at data centre level. Further redundancy and features are readily available such as dual or three phase power supplies, bespoke security, rack mounted CCTV and copper or fibre cross connects to your connectivity provider. This is your technical space and we will help configure it to suit your exacting business requirements.

Your half rack, depending on your requirements, will be either shared or physically separate from any other client equipment in a dedicated compartment with front and back lockable doors. Individually powered from a 32amp breaker and closely monitored for environmental factors such as temperature and humidity, a half rack is a perfect colocation solution if you don’t need all the space provided by a full rack. Owning your own half rack ensures you control all access to your own technical space and maintain total management of the servers inside. UK Grid may also be able to offer you an upgrade path to a full rack further down the line.

Your quarter rack will be physically separate from all other client equipment in a dedicated 10u compartment with front and back lockable doors. Individually powered and monitored, a quarter rack is the next logical step from 'shared colocation', where multiple clients would typically share a single rack without benefiting from separation or individual control. Owning your own quarter rack ensures you control all access to your own technical space and maintain total management of the servers inside.
