UK Grid at Data Centre World 2010

This year UK Grid exhibited at DC World, stand 212, in London's Barbican Centre. UK Grids CEO Rob Garbutt was in attendance alongside Peter Casey and Dipak Haveliwala also from the UK Grid team. The event was a great success for UK Grid and we managed to meet a lot of our current suppliers, meet some new potential suppliers and a few of our customers were there too during the two day event.

Synergy House Disaster Recovery Offer

UK Grid has introduced an offer for March only which includes a 48 RU rack in Synergy House with 5 Amps, 10 Mbps of TINET transit and a 100 Mbps Long Reach Ethernet connection from Telehouse North to Synergy House.

This deal is aimed at companies looking for a DR site away from London and starts from just £550.00 pounds per month plus setup fees.

TINET's global network is independent of London as TINET use routes out to Dublin via Southport. From Dublin, Tinet then have routes across the Atlantic and back down to Europe not passing through London.

This means customers can colocate their equipment in Synergy House, with an Ethernet connection between Telehouse North to their cabinet in Synergy, and also have diverse bandwidth to the Internet. UK Grid can also connect customers from Telehouse North to any other major DC location in London and/or office locations using it's new managed Ethernet product.
